The Hunter Original is the same design as the ones from over 100 years ago. It doesn't use cheap motors, it's an inside out cast iron oiled berring motor.
It's one of the best way to cool down. It's completely silent. On medium its speed feels like the fastest of a 'new' one. It runs at 2.2 meters per second wind on medium. 37w vs 58w for the new one. 3.3m/s on high. The fan blades are pitched more aggressively meaning that the wind is working harder. The cieling fan that was there had a different pitch, but produced less wind.
It has to be secured to the houses truss frame because of the weight of the fan.
It's old fashioned, and it's extremely good performance. It's really about personal reaction, everyone's going to not be excited about this. People will just not think about what it actually does.
